Service

LIS provides comprehensive IT and library support for faculty and students. Services include network planning and maintenance, academic system development, information system services, software/hardware resources, user assistance, and educational training. Major services include:

●Book Loans and Reservations

  1. Reservations:
    If the book you are looking for is currently checked out, you may reserve it through the online reservation system. Once the book is returned, you will receive an email notification. Please visit the library to complete the checkout process.
  2. Borrowing Eligibility:
    All NUTN faculty, students, and alumni with a valid library ID are eligible to borrow books.

System Development and Maintenance
LIS designs and maintains administrative information systems, including Academic Systems, General Affairs Systems, the Electronic Bulletin Board, and the Campus Forum—enhancing administrative efficiency.

Network and Classroom Resources
LIS operates numerous network and application servers. Five computer classrooms host a total of 280 computers, accessible by faculty, students, and administrative staff.

Email Services
Email accounts are provided for internal communication and academic collaboration.

Network Infrastructure
The campus is connected via fiber optics and unshielded twisted-pair cabling to ensure reliable internet access.

University Website Management
LIS maintains the university’s main website and provides web space for departments and administrative units to improve service visibility.

Training and Workshops
To help faculty, staff, and students stay updated on the latest technology, LIS regularly organizes training sessions and seminars.

Distance Learning Platform
An asynchronous distance learning platform allows professors to conduct online courses in virtual classrooms.

Wireless Internet Access
LIS began offering wireless connectivity across campus in 2003.
